Our Exceptional Learners Pod is designed for children who are able to participate in a small-group learning environment with support. At this time, the program is best suited for verbal learners. Families of non-verbal children are encouraged to contact us so we can discuss their child's unique needs and determine whether Kidz Pods is the right fit.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
7:45 AM — Arrival
Each child is greeted by name. A visual schedule is already posted — TEACCH-style — so before he even takes off his backpack, he knows exactly what today holds. No surprises. No guessing. Just calm.
8:00 AM — Morning Circle & Prayer
We start together. A short, predictable routine: a verse, a song, a moment of stillness. The same every day, on purpose. Predictability is not boring here — it is safety.
8:30 AM — Literacy Block
One-on-one and small-group instruction using Orton-Gillingham. Letter tiles. Multisensory practice. No child waits silently while another struggles — every child is working at exactly their level, with a teacher right beside them.
9:30 AM — Sensory Break
Built in, not earned. Wobble cushions, noise-canceling headphones, the calm corner — available before a child reaches overwhelm, not after.
10:00 AM — Math Block
Singapore Math, concrete before abstract. Blocks in hand before numbers on paper. A child who struggles with worksheets often thrives the moment math becomes something he can touch.
10:45 AM — Movement & Regulation
Zones of Regulation in practice, not just on a poster. Children learn to name what they feel and what they need — and get it.
11:15 AM — Science / Apologia
Hands-on, Christ-centered exploration. Wonder, not worksheets.
12:00 PM — Lunch & Social Skills Practice
A gentle, structured space to practice conversation, turn-taking, and friendship — with support nearby, never forced.
12:45 PM — Quiet Time / AAC & Communication Support
For children who use AAC devices or PECS, this is built into the rhythm of the day, not an afterthought.
1:15 PM — Afternoon Enrichment
Chess. Spanish. Classical music. Every child, regardless of ability, gets access to the same enrichment — adapted, never withheld.
2:00 PM — Closing Circle
We end the way we began — together, predictably, and with each child reminded: you were fearfully and wonderfully made, exactly as you are.
3:30 PM — Dismissal
A teacher who already knows your child’s day, ready to tell you about it — not a form letter, a real conversation.
