Built From Conviction. Not Convention.

Before there was Kidz Pods, there was a classroom of 30.

For five years, Renae Williams stood at the front of that classroom at John I. Leonard High School in Palm Beach County, teaching Biology, watching bright children slip through the cracks, and asking herself the same question every day: What would happen if every one of these children had been truly known before they got here?

She left the classroom and spent the next seven years doing exactly that, teaching preschool through elementary-aged children to read, one child at a time, through a literacy tutoring business she built from the ground up. She watched what happens when a child who has been told they cannot read finally decodes a word. It does not just change their academic trajectory. It changes who they believe they are.

But Renae's education in what children truly need did not stop in a tutoring room.

For years, Renae has operated a residential group home for young men with autism, ages 19 to 26. She has supported neurodivergent individuals not just in classrooms but in homes, communities, and every corner of daily life. She has sat with families who feel invisible to a system that was never designed for their child. She has seen what happens when the right environment finally meets the right human being.

That combination of experiences, the classroom, the literacy work, and the group home is what Kidz Pods is built from. Not a business plan. Not a market gap. A conviction that every child, regardless of how they learn, deserves to be known, taught well, and seen as exactly who God made them to be.

Kidz Pods is that conviction made real.

What We Believe

Everything at Kidz Pods flows from five convictions that do not change regardless of grade level, learning profile, or season of the program.

➤ One

Every Child Is Made On Purpose.

We do not have problem students. We have children in environments that have not yet figured out how to reach them. Every child who walks into a Kidz Pods pod is treated as uniquely, intentionally, and fearfully made.

➤ Three

Structure Is The Foundation Of Freedom.

The most confident, independent learners in the world were given consistent structure first. Our daily routines build the executive functioning, focus, and self-regulation that prepare children not just for the next grade, but for life.

➤ Two

Small Is Not A Limitation. Small Is The Point.

A pod of six students is not a compromise — it is the entire model. Your child will never be anonymous here. Their name, their learning style, their strengths, and their growing edges are known by every adult in this program

➤ Four

Faith Is Not A Subject. It Is The Foundation.

Every pod begins with prayer. Every child is treated as made in the image of God. The values of integrity, gratitude, and compassion are not policies at Kidz Pods, they are the culture.

➤ Five

Excellence Is Not Optional.

We use the best curriculum available anywhere in the world, not the most convenient or the most affordable. Singapore Mathematics. Science of Reading. Orton-Gillingham. Heggerty. We went to the ends of the earth to build this program because your child deserves nothing less.

HOW WE TEACH

The S.T.E.A.D.Y. Model™

Every Kidz Pods pod is built on the S.T.E.A.D.Y. Model™ a proprietary learning framework that ensures every child develops not only academic knowledge but the skills, regulation, and confidence needed for long-term success. Each letter represents a pillar of the program that every student experiences every day.

S

Structure

Predictable routines that build focus and confidence.

Consistent daily routines give every child the predictability they need to feel safe, focused, and ready to learn. Structure is not rigidity, it is the foundation that makes freedom possible.

E

Executive Functioning Development

Building the skills behind the skills.

Organization, planning, sequencing, and self-management are taught explicitly and practiced daily. These are the skills that determine whether a child can independently navigate learning, not just in a pod, but for life.

D

Development of Social Competence

Learning alongside others, intentionally.

In a pod of six students, every social interaction is intentional and guided. Children build genuine communication skills, conflict resolution, collaboration, and the ability to learn as part of a community. These are skills that no screen-based program can develop.

T

Therapeutic Integration

Support for emotional regulation and learning readiness.

Social-emotional learning is embedded into every part of the school day through the Zones of Regulation framework. Children learn to understand their emotional state and choose strategies that bring them back to learning-ready.

A

Academic Rigor

World-class curriculum. No exceptions.

Phonics, reading fluency, spelling, writing, and mathematics are taught using the most rigorous, research-supported curricula available: Science of Reading, LETRS, Orton-Gillingham, Singapore Mathematics, and Beast Academy. Every child is challenged at their actual level.

Y

Youth Independence

Learning alongside others, intentionally.

Every element of the S.T.E.A.D.Y. Model builds toward the same outcome, a child who knows how to learn. Who can advocate for themselves, manage their time, regulate their emotions, and approach challenge with confidence rather than fear.

The S.T.E.A.D.Y. Model™ is the framework. Your child is the point.

What Makes Our Program World-Class

Parents investing in a Kidz Pods education deserve to know exactly what their child is learning and why. Here is what powers every pod.

Reading & Literacy

Kidz Pods uses a structured literacy program built entirely on the Science of Reading, 40 years of cognitive research on how the brain actually learns to decode language. Every phonics pattern is taught explicitly, in sequence, using multisensory Orton-Gillingham methods. We supplement with Heggerty Phonemic Awareness and All About Reading decodable materials. Nothing is left to guessing. Every child learns to read.

All Kidz Pods teachers are trained through LETRS — Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling — the gold standard professional development program used by the most rigorous literacy educators in the country.

Mathematics

We use Singapore Mathematics, the curriculum of the countries that consistently rank first in global math assessments. Dimensions Math builds deep conceptual understanding using the concrete-pictorial-abstract sequence. Beast Academy provides rigorous enrichment for our most advanced mathematicians. Children do not memorize procedures here. They understand numbers.

Science

Apologia Young Explorer — a Christ-centered, inquiry-based science curriculum that teaches children to see God's design in the natural world. Hands-on. Discovery-driven.

Social-Emotional Learning

Every pod uses the Zones of Regulation framework — a research-supported program used in schools, therapy practices, and homes worldwide to help children identify their emotional state, understand what their body needs, and choose strategies that bring them back to learning-ready. Especially powerful for children with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, and anxiety.

Bible & Character

Daily Scripture. Character formation. Prayer. These are not add-ons at Kidz Pods, they are woven into the fabric of every school day.

A Note to the Parent Reading This

If you have made it to the bottom of this page, something in you is looking for something different.

Maybe you have watched your child struggle in a classroom that was not built for them. Maybe you have sat in parent-teacher conferences and left feeling like your child is a case file, not a person. Maybe you have a child who is brilliant in ways the report card does not capture — and you are exhausted trying to explain that to people who have 24 other students to think about.

Or maybe your child is thriving, and you simply want more for them than the standard trajectory offers.

Wherever you are, you are in the right place.

Kidz Pods was not built for every family. It was built for the family that refuses to accept that what exists is good enough. The family that believes their child's education should be personal, rigorous, faith-filled, and excellent, all at the same time.

We have six seats per pod. We open August 17, 2026. And we would love to meet your child.

Your Child Is Not Too Much. They Have Not Yet Found The Right Environment.
